I received a full merit-based scholarship to attend Verdon Fosse Legacy’s Intensive Training Program August 2025!

I closed my first lead in a world premiere of a new musical called

Love Somebody Now with music by Andrew Lippa!

I will be understudying Gretchen in the Ensemble of Mean Girls at NYU from 3/27-4/4 this spring!

Melody Chen is a proud Chinese-American choreographer and artist going into her senior year at NYU for musical theatre at the New Studio on Broadway. She loves wacky, BIPOC-centric experimental new work and reimagined classics. She's one of Jazmine Sullivan's 0.01% of listeners. (Proof of her Spotify Wrapped 2024.) She designed all these backgrounds with Procreate.
